They clearly said estimated 300K received. This 300K estimate includes all I-485 petitions, do not confuse and speculate incorrect info.

Yes, it is frustrating to miss it just by one day, I don't think we can appeal against it, let us wait for the original card to see whether we have any luck. I also filed at NSC.

I got the e-mail that card prodn. is ordered. Not sure if i'll get one year or 2 years EAD renewal now. I filed in Nebraska center. I called USCIS and asked them but they are not sure either.. I hate to miss out of 2 yr EAD just 'cos it got approved today but not Monday. Is there any way to appeal for a 2 yr EAD ????

I came back to US on Mar 30 2008 using advance parole. The officer wrote on I-94 , paroled until Mar 29, 2008 (I am assuming its an oversight).

I didnt detect the oversight till yesterday. What my current status and what actions should I take to rectify the error.

I am still working for my employer that sponsored the H1B which is valid till Feb 2009, although the stamp on the passport was valid only till Feb 2008

For I-485 Applicant, it is not of much significance.
At POE, AP is stamped for one year (with I-94), but when it expires, it does not matter. One can continue working on H1 or EAD. And if someone is in USA on H4 (and not working on EAD) also remains in vaild status.

So there should not be any reason to worry, however, as suggested by "kshitijnt" better to get in touch with USCIS and let them do corrective action as required.

All my 140,EAD,AP, H1 renewal approvals have all been from NSC, never had any application at TSC.

So I guess it may just be a case of USCIS balancing the case load between NSC, TSC, however I would expect others to see similar moves as well in that case.

I will be taking up a new job and I have been told by the new employer that, benifits will start after 30 days.

I presently have insurence through my employer. My understnading is that, insurence stops the day I leave the present employer. Now how do i handle the stop gap in insurence to be on safer side...??

Thats a little strange, as employers now a days are suggesting to use EAD instead
of H1's as the extentions itself has problems. And based on what i know its
ok to be on EAD instead of h1. Either way there is not much difference.

It is not strange from employer perspective. That way they will not be subjected to auditing from DOL. And they can show less number of H1B employees. Some people also gets advantages of non- H1B dependent employer.

I am hoping to port to a new job using AC21. I contacted my attorney with various questions about the process, but she told me that she can not respond to my questions because she represents me as well as the current company I work for. For those of you who are looking to port or have already done so, did you face a similar situation - where your attorney could not advise and assist you through the process of porting? How did you resolve this situation? Did you have to find another attorney to help you with porting to a new job?

I am in a similar situation. What did your friend end up doing? I would appreciate any feedback on this.
My 140 is approved, 6th year expires in March 09, 485 has not been filed due to retrogression and there is a potential for a layoff. Can I transfer 140 to a new employer and file 3 yr extension at the same time?

Thanks all for your kind assistance.

After consulting with another owner of a D-100 (which I accidently met on the street) it seems that the problem is indeed power source related.
I do a six normal batteries and when I replaced it all went well.

One more thing.
Do u guys know a 4gb memory cerd (Hitachi's). The camera display is different when I use this card and an original (much smaller) one.
When using the 4gb card I can't see the number of photos left. Is this normal?
Is the card infected with some virus? Or maybe I received some cheap used card ?
